Superstition ARC Mailing List
This Club mailing list, run from this Web site, is authored by your Webmaster, Larry Kuck, WB7CRK. Announcements concerning Club activities, planned events and Web site news are periodically posted, at least once per month. If a Club Newsletter is published, it will be posted to the site and an email announcement sent out.
Subscription and Archives
Archives may be viewed on the List Subscription page . You may also choose to subscribe to your choice of Rich Text e-mail or Plain Text e-mail from that page.
The archive displayed on the page comes from the Rich Text list, but rarely will be different from the last mailing made over the Plain Text list.
Subscribe here:
If you prefer to receive plain text email only, please subscribe here: Subscribe Plain Text
If you prefer formatted text, when available, subscribe here: Subscribe Rich Text
Subscription Process described
Double Opt-In for your protection against spam:
To subscribe, you must begin the process with one of the links directly above, or the Subscription page linked further above. You then must respond to an e-mail in your inbox to confirm your wish to subscribe. This process is what is called, "double opt-in."
Nobody can subscribe you to anything without your following through by answering the confirmation e-mail that arrives. You will never receive another unless you or someone else enters your address again into the form. In any event, you will never be added to the list of subscribers unless you take positive action and respond to the confirmation email we sent you.
Every new sub gets the last archive sent
When you join the list, you always get the last message sent over the list, from our archive once you have completed your subscription process.
Unsubscribe process described
Double opt-out:
By the same token, no one may knock you off of the list by entering your address into the subsciption form and setting the dot (or "radio button") to Unsubscribe . You will be sent a confirmation message asking if you want to unsubscribe, to which you must take positive steps to complete the action.
Except for that first welcoming message that you receive after completing your subscription process, every e-mail you receive from the list contains an unsubscribe link. So any time that you want the mail to stop coming, just use the unsubscribe link in your e-mail or visit this page, and use the subscribe links and set the button to Unsubscribe. Follow the link in your confirmation message to complete the disconnect.
Change of address procedure
Change of address or Preferences
If you want to discontinue at one address and move your subscription to another, or want to switch between Rich Text and Plain Text format, simply follow directions to unsubscribe and then follow directions to subscribe.
No advertising, no spam
No advertising, no spam
Our list messages begin with a "Greetings Everyone," and end with a "73." In between are only the words from the message author, and below are the instructions for removal from the list. There are no ad trailers, and no attachments sent.
Your E-Mail Address is secure
We respect your privacy
Your e-mail address is stored in the back room, outside of the Web environment in which these pages reside. No one subscribed to the list will ever see anyone else's e-mail address in a message. The email address is available only to the list administrator, and it is never used for any pirpose except in connection with the operation of the list.
If you reply to the list, your message will be routed to your Webmaster. it will not be broadcast over the list, unless you ask for it to be. And even then your e-mail address is removed from the mailing.
Your privacy is also guaranteed in that if you are already subscribed, and a subscription attempt is made to the same address, you will receive an e-mail in your inbox, rather than a message appearing in a Web browser at the time of the attempt. No one can snoop to see if someone is subscribed just by entering an e-mail address.
About Published e-mail addresses on this site
Published E-Mail Addresses Protected on wb7tjd.org
We publish e-mail addresses on the Web pages of this site with owners' consent. We also use server-side techniques to refuse service to known spambots and limit search-engine spidering of pages that should not be indexed or cached in search results pages, thus helping to minimize further exposure beyond the boundaries of this site.
Any e-mail address displayed on the wb7tjd.org site's Web pages is first scrambled into a string of HTML entities, which in the source code of these pages is incoherent gibberish to the human eye, but which browsers can still display in human-readable form in their output. A spam bot coming by to harvest is going to read the source and find such gibberish as Rubbish - er - Rubbish.
The software used for this may be freely downloaded from the Web, and is called, "Mailto Obfuscator ."
